Well we were 18 when Gordon, Alan and a few other kindred spirits from the N and NE of Scotland met. It probably was on the free bus tour of Aberdeen organised by the University for freshers week or it could also have been in the student union bar or in the Kirkgate Bar. Certainly it was continued in these establishments. A biochemist among a group of engineers who formed friendships which have lasted 50 years no matter how often or seldom our paths cross.
