Alison, I am very sad to hear of Gordon's passing. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on your loss. Gordon was a great scientist and mentor - one of the pioneering retrovirologists in the UK at a time when most of the World was oblivious to that type of virus. Like Tom (Curran), I would probably not have completed my Ph.D if it had not been for Gordon. I don't think one can pay a better tribute to a group leader than that. Mary
